Gabe started Banks Weaver with extensive litigation and trial experience. To date, he has tried over 50 cases to verdict, including felony, murder, and multi-million dollar personal injury lawsuits. Prior to starting Banks Weaver, Gabe spent 5 years at one of the premier defense firms in Atlanta where he primarily defended large companies in negligent security cases as well as defending hospitals and physicians in medical malpractice cases. Prior to that, Gabe served for almost a decade as a Deputy District Attorney for the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, where he supervised the Gangs and Drug Unit, as well as the Asset Forfeiture Division. Prior to serving as a Deputy District Attorney, Gabe worked for the United States Department of Justice as Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) in the Middle District of Tennessee and the Northern District of Georgia. As an AUSA, Gabe prosecuted large-scale drug trafficking organizations with ties to the Mexican Cartel through the investigative tool of wiretapping. Gabe also served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable William J. Haynes, Jr., United States District Court Judge, for the Middle District of Tennessee.
Gabe now uses his unique training and experience to help those who have been seriously injured due to the negligence of others, with a particular focus in negligent security cases. Gabe understands that his clients come seeking help after a point of tragedy in their lives. He believes that it is truly an honor to serve them and fights aggressively on their behalf.
Gabe obtained a Bachelor of Science and a correlated study in Race Relations from Vanderbilt University. During his undergraduate years at Vandy, Gabe played football on a full-athletic scholarship under Gerry DiNardo. After graduating, Gabe remained at Vandy and enrolled in the Joint Law and Divinity Program, and obtained his J.D. and M.Div. As a former prosecutor, Gabe remains committed to mentoring at-risk youth and co-leads a mentoring program for youth at his church.
